A dumb movie involving a railroad.

Hokey, But Accurate And Somewhat Historical
What's not to like. A slam bang mile a minute little story and a real authentic railroad setting. Having grown up right across the street from a steam engine round-house and steam engines and in a railroad family, I can say this mostly shot on location liitle film is right on the money and had to have been shot with the full co-operation of the A.T. & S.F.. Nobody probably under 55 was around when this type of rail yard and such trains were in use, so it's a historical look back as well. Enjoy it for that, if nothing else. The story and the players both ridulous but fun, and never played tongue-in-cheek. Production values? Forget about it, but for a "lost" film, picture and sound quality is exceptional. Lot's of "pros" working behind the camera and a few working? (Philo McCullough, Tom London, Henry Roquemore) in front of them. Worth a look.

..er, I think I'll take the plane
Much of this screenplay makes absolutely no sense, and what plot there is only is meant to connect the many action scenes. The dialog, some of which seems to be adlibbed, is incredibly juvenile. The explanation is this low-budget railroad actioner wasn't meant for adults. Shoot-em-up westerns weren't the only potboilers that appeared on Saturday matinee screens. The obscure Imperial Productions probably slapped this kiddy special together in two or three days - any longer would have been an example of gross inefficiency. Just because this romp was fun for little kids, doesn't mean it isn't fun for us big kids. At times the dialog is hilarious, and the free-swinging fistfights are a real hoot. So bad it's good? I'll leave that for others to decide. Not that you would notice, but this watchable print is missing four minutes. FOOTNOTE: Imperial Productions also was responsible for "The Flaming Signal" (1933), a true so-bad-it's-good anti-classic. It's in the public domain, and hopefully will make it to IA. In the meantime it's available from Netflix.

Very Interesting
I don't think this movie is all that bad but viewing could benefit from the original poster uploading a larger file which would make this look a lot better on my TV.
Just a Thought.

Great movie :)
Great acting, love the fight scenes, real pretty girl. Why did I love this movie? Mostly because my in-laws didn't and left my in peace to watch it. Since they haven't gone home yet, think I will watch it again.

Loved it!
I like these old films where they show these crazy fight scenes. Reminded me of the old serials! Not sure of the acting quality, but none the less, I loved it. A step back in time!
